I dedicate myself to transforming old materials into disuse and try to give them new life by creating a series of unique bags.
A few days ago I came across a note kept inside one of these enormous backpacks, a backpack with a stamp from 1958….. I leave the note on the table, then I pick it up in the evening and ask myself: “is that person still alive? …. probably for him to have his backpack back after 63 years would be fantastic”.
Also reading the country of origin (a city in Piedmont) I did a search on Facebook and finding his grandson was a breeze
I wrote to him: “hi I found your grandfather’s military backpack,” and I showed him the tag with the name written on it that I had kept.
