This jacket is entirely handmade. The very special material with which it is made is called “Tela Olona”.
The canvas is a kind of raw, heavy and very resistant fabric to canvas armor with very dense reduction. It was used for all uses that required a robust and economical material such as: bags, backpacks, cover sheets, awnings, bags, suitcases, shoes. Soaked with linseed oil became waterproof and was used as a tarpaulin for the hoods of carriages and covered wagons, tarpaulins, waterproof tarps and also to cover the tram cars. It is still used today for historic sailing ships; the Amerigo Vespucci, for example, has sails in canvas olona of hemp, which gives the characteristic color ecru to the veil.
The buttons are leather.
